Whale Watching Perth’s new Voyager vessel departs from Fremantle

Rottnest Fast Ferries will have Perth Whale Watching experiences covered when its new Fremantle cruise departure commences on 17 September.

The Sardine Jetty at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour will be the new launch destination for the business’ whale watching cruises, joining its Hillarys tour departures.

This gives Rottnest Fast Ferries both a northern and southern departure point for its two-hour Whale Watching Cruise.

Branded Whale Watching Perth by Rottnest Fast Ferries, both north and south tours feature live commentary and education by knowledgeable marine scientists from AQWA, The Aquarium of Western Australia.

Guests will witness the annual southern migration of the humpback Southern Right and rare Pygmy Blue whales on the scenic cruise and experience the thrill of coming face to face with the majestic creatures. From September to the end of November, these gentle giants can be sighted frolicking in the waters off the WA coastline.

Enjoy air-conditioned comfort from Voyager, a state-of the-art-vessel designed for ocean tours. Enjoy the best possible views from a choice of three viewing areas.

Large open deck spaces provide the best possible opportunity to capture spectacular close-up photographs; and guests may hear beautiful whale song via the vessel’s Hydrophone.

Snacks are available onboard with licensed bar facilities.

Fremantle tours depart daily from 17 September at 9.30am from the Sardine Jetty, Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour.

Hillarys tours depart at 12.30pm daily from Hillarys Boat Harbour.

As whales are wild animals, whale sightings are not guaranteed, however the experienced and attentive crew ensure the best possible chance of finding whales. If on any tour whales are NOT sighted, passengers are entitled to a place on the next available tour free of charge.

Prices are Adult $65, Child 4-12 $35, Toddler 2-3 $25 and Infant 0-2 $5.
