Origins Market is opening in November and will showcase leading local providores, while offering the community and visitors an exciting shopping and dining destination. Origins is calling on local producers, makers, growers and artisans passionate about food and West Australian artisanal products to bring their vision to market.
The 3232sqm Origins Market is situated in Busselton, one of WA’s fastest growing regional areas, just ten minutes from the Busselton Margaret River Airport which is soon to receive direct flights from Melbourne. It’s located in a bustling new retail hub that already sees more than 25,000 weekly visitors and has views over native wetlands.
More than 100 carefully curated West Australian growers, producers, artists and creators will come together under one roof, sharing the Market’s ethos of sustainability and connection to the land, blurring the lines between production and consumption.
A significant number of vendors from around WA have already been selected, but Origins Market Curator Louise Cashmore is determined to find ALL of WA’s best culinary and artistic treasures in the lead up to opening.
“For the past few months, I’ve been busily connecting with farmers, producers and artisans across the state to share the Origins Market story and unearth new talent who are ready to take their vision to market,” she said.
“Inspired by the world’s best markets – like London’s Borough Market, Oxbow Market in Napa and Barcelona’s Mercado de La Boqueria - Origins Market is set to become a landmark destination in WA.
